About VCC:
VCC is the world’s first verifier for industrial-strength concurrent C code. VCC takes a C program, annotated with function specifications, data invariants, loop invariants, and ghost code, and tries to prove these annotations correct. If it succeeds, VCC promises that your program actually meets its specifications. VCC runs from within Visual Studio 2008 and has been used to verify thousands of lines of live product code. VCC is developed in C# and F# is released under an academic open source license on http://vcc.codeplex.com .
About the job:
Your job will be to develop an integration of VCC into Visual Studio 2010 based on the new extensibility model of Visual Studio. Additionally, you will contribute to the further development and testing of the VCC tool. We are offering a position of up to 19h/week, starting as soon as possible for a duration of at least 6 months.
Your skills:
- Student of Computer Science (or similar) with Bachelor’s degree
C#, Java, or C++
User Interface Programming
Fluency in English
Knowledge in Compiler Construction or Functional Programming are a plus
