Block Lecture Communication Systems Engineering II

Dear students,

I would like to announce the block course "Communication Systems
Engineering II". It is a compact course with practical exercises (V1,Ü1)
that is given in addition to the lecture "Discrete Event Simulation" of
Prof. Gross.

The course will focus on the engineering of communication systems,
especially on the analysis of communication systems by modeling and
simulating networking protocols. Some topics of the course are
simulation model design, scalability of network simulations and advanced
evaluation techniques such as network emulation. In the practical part
you will work on exercises using the OMNeT++ network simulation framework.

The course will take place all-day from Wednesday to Friday next week,
starting at 10:00h every day. More information can be found on our

If you want to participate in this block course, please come to the
initial kick-off meeting next Monday, 11th August, 2008 at 11:00h in the
seminar room of Informatik 4 (room 4105, E1).
